Union Hockey Blog was founded in April, 2026, by a family of Union Hockey fans. Inspired by the excitement of attending games at M&T Bank Center, the site was created as a way to connect with other fans while serving as a source of Union Hockey information and opinions from a fan perspective.
Bill H. is the creator of Union Hockey Blog. He hopes the blog can serve as a project for he and his sons to work together while enjoying Union Hockey. Bill has former experience in the sports reporting field, having created and served as the head writer of the former Siena Saints Blog, 4GuysinBlazers. Bill became a member of the US Basketball Writer’s Association and wrote articles that were linked to and/or shared on major sites such as ESPN and NBC Sports. Through his time writing for 4guys Bill attended and covered the MAAC Tournament, Siena games at numerous sites including Madison Square Garden, interviewed dozens of players and coaches, helped to organize a community basketball camp with former Siena stars, and organized fan voting, through the 4guys website, for a Siena alumni game. Bill left 4guys as his family grew, but hopes that in time he can elevate Union Hockey Blog, now with help from his sons, to the same level of excellence.
